For bride, Makayla, family was at the center of the day of her wedding to her sweetheart, Joseph. The Indiana couple leaned into their style preferences and found the perfect mixture of country and classic at our Indiana venue. Aiming for a rustic elegant wedding, the pair wove thoughtful touches into our picturesque setting. Leaning on our experienced team in partnership with our sister-venue, The Wilds, Makayla and Joseph enjoyed a relaxed and stunning wedding day.
Perfect ingredients for a rustic elegant wedding
A stress-free day was a must-have for bride, Makayla. Leaning on our day-of coordinating services from our highly experienced team, the bride reflects that the day was effortless. Able to gather and simply enjoy the day, the stage was set for her dream wedding to her groom, Joseph.
Sage green, delicate pops of blush, gold, and neutral tones worked as a perfect palette for the pair. Combining Joseph’s love of rustic elements with Makayla’s love of elegant romantic touches was easy to achieve at our versatile venue.
With close ties to her grandparents, the perfect touch for Makayla before walking down the aisle came from her Granny. A perfect something old and something blue, the bride was gifted her Granny’s ring who placed it as the final part of her look.
A rustic and elgant wedding ceremony
Our picturesque venue has multiple ceremony sites to inspire each unique couple. For Joseph and Makayla, the pergola ceremony space provided the perfect rustic elegant wedding look. They opted for a beautiful fabric drape with an asymetrical floral installation on the bride’s side. Guests joined together on this beautiful Spring day to witness the pair exchange vows.
Escorted by her two father figures, her grandfather and great-grandfather escorted the bride down the aisle. The bride reflects on this as one of the most special parts of the day for her.
Luminous details for a rustic elegant wedding
Leaning into the beautiful light and furnishings provided to all of our couples at Laural Mill, Makayla and Joseph opted for some simple centerpieces. Sage green runners were draped over the length of our farmhouse tables with candles and votives along the length. A charming desert table was displayed with accents of greenery, and guests loved filling up the polaroid guest book for the couple.
The final magic touches came in our ceiling drapery and twinkle lights, providing ethereal and elegant touches to frame the celebration.
The moments that mean the most at our Indiana Venue
A final moment of celebrating the love of her grandparents came in the brides alternative to a bouquet toss. The bride reflects:
On my bridal bouquet I had a charm of my late great-great grandmother. At the reception I made a speech for my great grandmother who helped raise me, and gave her my bridal bouquet instead of doing a traditional toss. When I gave it to her, I made sure to note that her mother’s charm was on it. It was special and it was a way to honor her and my late great great grandmother. There was not a dry eye in the room. I have a video recording of the moment and I watch it from time to time.
Nothing brings us as much joy as being able to host these meaningful moments!
